Tickets are now on sale for the State of the Arts 2018!
The Arts Partnership invites you to attend our annual State of the Arts event from 7:30-9am Tuesday, June 12 at NDSU Barry Hall, generously sponsored by Bell Bank!
The State of the Arts is a social event loosely modeled after the State of the Cities where our president and CEO Dayna Del Val highlights the importance of the arts in our community, debuts our organizational goals for the upcoming fiscal year, and awards Metro Arts Partnership grants to area nonprofits that add vibrancy to our community through art.
This year of Flint Group president Jodi Duncan will be the State of the Arts keynote speaker discussing why the arts are so important for businesses to invest in, internally and externally.
We’re also awarding the following local arts advocates, organizations and businesses for their significant contributions to the arts:
Gate City Bank, Outstanding Business in the Arts
West Acres, Outstanding Arts Collaborator
Emily Williams-Wheeler, Outstanding Artist
Mayor Del Rae Williams, Outstanding Advocate for the Arts
It is well known that employees today have significant options for choosing where to live and work, and communities of our size, geography and location must provide the quality of life amenities that make moving here attractive. A major piece of that is the arts and culture, including the performing arts, independent artists, craft breweries, locally owned restaurants and entrepreneurial shops. The State of the Arts is the annual event celebrating the power of the arts in our community.

Parking is available on the streets downtown, at the nearby RoCo lot and the Radisson parking ramp. 90-minute parking on the streets starts at 8am, but the State of the Arts ends at 9am.
