Closing of North Dakota Human Rights Exhibition at Spirit Room

The North Dakota Human Rights Film Festival will take place November 16 and 17, 2017, at the Fargo Theater. The Art Exhibition will open on Monday, November 13 the Spirit Room in Fargo, North Dakota. The exhibition will be available for viewing through January 5, 2018. The festival is currently accepting submissions from professional or student filmmakers and artist who have produced work that engages human rights or social justice related topics or themes.
The Fargo Human Relations Commission assists in funding events that fit within its mission to encourage acceptance, respect for diversity and eliminate discrimination. “What an amazing endeavor to create awareness, build community, and support art. We look forward to seeing how this project shines a spotlight on local and global human rights issues in a way that is accessible for everyone.”, said Rachel Hoffman, current Chair of the Commission.
“Artist from all mediums and expressions of storytelling are contributing powerful narratives,” said Sean Coffman, Chair of the 2017 Festival. “We’re proud to partner with the Fargo Human Relations Commission to bring these important pieces of work and conversations to the community this fall.
