Fargo Screenwriters Seminar at the Spirit Room

Hollywood comes to Fargo for Screenwriters Seminar
LA based Writer / Producer Madeline DiMaggio to teach screenwriting in Fargo

LA based writer / producer will be in Fargo Friday, March 10 and Saturday March 11 as a presenter at the Fargo Screenwriters Seminar. The seminar will provide an in-depth review of Academy Award winning scripts to analyze structure and character dynamics; how to write for television in today’s multichannel world; and perfecting a longline and pitch to market your script and make the sale.

The seminar will take place at the Spirit Room in Fargo, North Dakota, on Friday, March 10, from 6PM to 8PM with an informal dinner and introduction, and continue on Saturday, March 11, from 8AM to 5PM. A sit down lunch will be provided during the seminar. “I’m very excited to be coming to Fargo” said DiMaggio.

Madeline DiMaggio has written over 50 hours of produced film in prime-time sitcoms, one-hour dramas, TV pilots, TV movies and feature films including The Tony Randall Show, the award-winning Bob Newhart Show, Three’s Company, Eight is Enough, Fantasy Island, Starsky and Hutch, Switch and numerous episodes for the soap opera Santa Barbara. She has also served as the producer for Surviving Eden starring Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), Sheri Oteri, and Jane Lynch, and as executive producer for the Award-winning documentaries Camp Unity and Humble Beauty. She has also written two books on screenwriting, How to Write for Television  and Screenwriting.

This is the first year for the Fargo Screenwriters Seminar, hosted by ND Filmmaker. The seminar plans to bring screenwriters from around the country annually into Fargo to encourage and promote the art and craft of filmmaking in North Dakota.

ND Filmmaker is a brand new digital and print magazine dedicated to magazine is published quarterly four times a year. Focusing on the creative talent in North Dakota behind and in front of the lens, ND Filmmaker is a mix of interviews, festival coverage and critical essays designed to lift-up and promote the world of filmmaking inside of North Dakota.
