Grants and Resources for Arts Organizations and Artists

TAP provides grants to both non-profits and to individual artists as an investment in the overall health and well-being of the Metro’s Arts Community.

City Arts Partnership (CAP) Grants – Deadline April 7, 2017

The CAP Grants support non-profit arts and culture organizations and other non-profits proposing arts-and-culture projects in the Metro area. The CAP programs is funded by the cities of Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo. Sanford Health provides Sanford Arts Partnership Merit Awards, given to organizations doing exemplary work in the arts and cultural arenas in our community.

Potential applicants must attend a mandatory application workshop to be eligible to apply:

General Operating Support Grants for arts/culture non-profits with annual budgets of $40,000 or more: Tuesday, February 14, 8:30 – 9:45 am OR Thursday, February 16, 5:30 – 6:15 pm

Project Support Grants for arts/culture non-profits with annual budgets less than $40,000 and other organizations: Wednesday, February 15, 5:30 – 6:15 pm OR Thursday, February 16, 8:30 – 9:45 am

The application workshops will be held at APT, the arts incubator space managed by TAP, located at 225 4th Avenue North in Fargo. Use the entrance on the northwest side of the building.

Individual Arts Partnership (IAP) Grants + Jade Presents Arts Partnership Grants – Deadline October 31, 2017

These grants support artists working in a broad range of the arts: dance, literature, media, music, theatre, traditional and folk arts and craft, and visual arts. The Jade Presents Arts Partnership Grants support musicians as they move to the next stage in their careers. Artists interested in applying for either of these grants opportunities must attend a mandatory application workshop in September 2017. Dates will be posted in August. The Fall 2016 guidelines are located below for reference. The 2017 guidelines will be posted in Summer 2017.

Funding for these grants is provided by generous individuals, The Arts Partnership and Jade Presents (specifically for musicians).
