7 Fun Facts About TAP’s New Communications Intern, Lauren Richardson
My name is Lauren Richardson and I am the new Communications intern at The Arts Partnership this fall. Here are seven fun facts to introduce myself.
1. I love Disney.
When I was little I was fortunate enough to go to Disney multiple times because of this I fell in love with Disney at a young age. I love all things Disney. Disney movies, Disney Kitchen ware, Disney sweatshirts and of course Disneyworld itself. If I had to choose my favorite Disney character it would be Pluto, but they all have a special place in my heart.
2. I have a soft spot for Rwanda.
This past summer I went to Rwanda, Africa. I taught Music, Art and English to a class of Kindergarteners. The people I met and the experiences I had changed my life in a way that is hard to put into words.
3. I love being involved on Campus.
This past year I transferred to Concordia from San Diego State University. Being a transfer student, I knew it was important to get involved on campus. I helped plan TedxConcordiaCollege in the spring of 2017. I am on the Homecoming Parade Committee and am involved in Dance Marathon. Although all of these kept me extremely busy, I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
4. Singing is a passion of mine.
I have been involved in music since I was little. I started playing piano at the age of seven. After that I started playing the violin and soon singing became my main passion. I have been in choir ever since fifth grade. I am currently in Chapel Choir here at Concordia.
5. I love spending time at the lake in the summers.
Although I have a fear of boats, you can’t beat summer nights at the lake. I love spending time at the lake with friends and family. Roasting a few marshmallows is always a good ending to a nice day.
6. I love hiking.
When I used to live in San Diego I would go hiking nearly everyday. Although the hike up is always hard the view of the top is too good to turn down.
7. I love Cherry Dip Cones.
I have an obsession with Cherry Dip Cones from Dairy Queen. Although the blizzards are great, you can’t settle for anything less then a good cherry dipped cone. I even snuck a picture of one into my French project last year. As you can see, I have passed the obsession on to some of my friends as well!
I hope that these seven fun facts taught you more about who I am! You will be hearing more from me throughout the fall about all things Art around the Fargo-Moorhead area! I am so excited to share my love of TAP with you as well.
