The Downtown Fargo Street Fair is Happening Now!
Ah, nothing says summer like fair season! Partner Downtown Commmunity Partnership opened the Downtown Fargo Street Fair today, and despite the chillier July weather, the event already has plenty of foot traffic.
Check out North Dakota’s biggest free outdoor event today until 9 p.m., tomorrow 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. This year has TONS of vendors for you to check out — and lots of chances to #SupportLocalArt from jewelry makers, metal workers, textiles and more.
“We love Downtown. This event gives us the opportunity to bring thousands of people Downtown so they can fall in love as well. After 42 years, it’s safe to say the street fair is a Fargo tradition and we’re proud to continue it,” says Sam Olson, the Communications Coordinator at the Downtown Community Partnership.
The Downtown Community Partnership also brought in an artist to create this year’s poster, Kristi Abbott — a mixed media collage artist. Watch the timelapse video of Kristi creating the poster.
Friendly reminder: due to the street fair, parking is extremely limited and traffic is congested. LinkFM has extended hours, free rides, additional stops and busses running every 5 minutes during the street fair.
