For over 30 years, the Master Chorale of Fargo Moorhead has performed beautiful Christmas concerts for all ages to enjoy.

This year’s concert “Emmanuel: God With Us” on Dec 7, 8, 9, and 10 includes songs accompanied by a Chamber Ensemble of nine string players, an oboe, a flute, and piano accompaniment from the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra.

“The theme this year is centered around the Christmas story and is told through many different lenses,” says Aaron Zinter, director of the Master Chorale of Fargo-Moorhead.

“Emmanuel: God With Us” starts with a song called “No Room, No Room” that tells the story about not having any room in the Inn. The concert goes on to be told from perspectives of Mary, Joseph, the animals and more.

The Master Chorale consists of 64 singers from Fargo-Moorhead and surrounding communities.

“These individuals are a joy to work with. They are faithful singers and community members and have a lot to offer,” Zinter says. “It is always a treat to conduct and be with such a wonderful group of singers.”

Tickets to the performances on Friday and Saturday night will include dinner catered by Concordia.

“You can sit with friends and family around tables of eight and listen to beautiful music at the same time,” Zinter says.

This year’s concert will be held at 7 p.m. Dec 7, 6:30 p.m. Dec. 8 and 9 and 2 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Concordia College Knutson Centrum. Tickets for Friday and Saturday are $42 and must be purchased by Thursday, Nov. 30, so the Master Chorale can get a headcount for dinner. The Thursday and Sunday concerts are $15 ($8 for students).
