Saturday is supposed to be sunny with a high of 67 degrees, perfect for an outdoor concert.
The Arts Partnership and Kilbourne Group created APT, a Creative Incubator Space in downtown Fargo as a place for creativity and community to collide. Jeff Knight, the Program Manager at APT, says that they have wanted to do OutSet since APT opened in January.
Saturday “is a celebration of creativity culminating with an outdoor concert,” Knight says.
The backyard concert features music from The Cropdusters and The Human Element, and headliners Kind Country. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the festivities continue until 11 p.m. This all ages event features food from Off the Griddle food truck and drinks from Sidestreet (for those 21+).
Not only is Saturday about music but it also is combining food, workshops, yoga, visual art and other creative endeavors throughout the day.
Although the main event is the concert, the day will be full of fun events for community members to enjoy.
APT will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and currently features the FMVA Arts Educators Art Show. All are welcome Saturday afternoon from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. to come and make art with APT artists.
From 4 p.m. – 5 p.m., REACH teaches a yoga class in the second gallery space. Thunder Coffee is setting up camp inside APT from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. to pour and discuss craft coffee brewing.
Tickets to OutSet are $10 at the door. APT is located at 225 4th Avenue North in downtown Fargo. For more information, visit the OutSet Facebook event page.
