Earlier this summer, Alley Fair (a party and mini arts expo held in the alley behind the Fargo Theatre) commissioned three artists to create custom-painted public art dumpsters. Paul Ide, Punchgut, and Vanessa Morken contributed the eye-popping designs. The dumpsters are still on display in the same alley, livening up an out-of-the-way space. The project, incidentally, was supported through our Public Arts Partnership granting program (totally horn-tooting). Next time you’re downtown, take a detour through the alley to see them live.
Special thanks to Joe Burgum at Alley Fair for organizing this and for Grassfire Studios for creating the great video!
