24TH ANNUAL SPRING GALA ART AUCTION   |   SATURDAY, MAY 2, 2020 • 7PM – MIDNIGHT

Plains Art Museum is excited to invite you to submit artwork to be juried into the 24th Annual Spring Gala Art Auction | Saturday, May 2nd, 2020. Like every year, Plains Art Museum will host an art auction in conjunction with our Spring Gala that will include dozens of diverse, original artworks made by some of the most talented and prolific contemporary artists from around the region. Selected artworks will be featured in the Art Auction Preview Exhibition in the Museum’s first floor Jane L. Stern Gallery and in the Spring Gala Catalogue that is sent to 3,000+ regional households and businesses. In addition, artists selected for the auction receive two (2) complimentary Gala tickets ($250 value). Artists who are selected for the auction can choose to receive up to 50% of the sale of their artwork or they can donate the sale (in varying percentages) to the Museum as a charitable tax donation. The remaining auction proceeds support the Museum’s many educational programs and our PlainsArt4All program that keeps the Museum general admission free– which has helped the Museum enjoy a 33% increase in attendance since July 2017.

Please find submission instructions below. If you have any questions I look forward to you contacting me regarding the auction, submission process, or to arrange a studio visit. On behalf of the Museum’s staff and Board, thank you for considering participation in Plains Art Museum’s 24th Annual Spring Gala Art Auction. As an event that brings together hundreds of guests and helps to connect art lovers and artists through the sale of original art, the Gala Art Auction has been a highlight for the community, and for us.
