Artist in Residence: Britt Dalice at Red River Zoo

June 15, 2018 @ 10:30 am - 3:00 pm

The Red River Zoo is excited to announce local artist Britt Dalice is joining us as an Artist-in-Residence this summer! From June 15-17 during regular Zoo hours, the public is invited to interact with Britt and learn about her process as she creates oil paintings of our animals on site.

All of the paintings Britt creates will be given away to lucky visitors as part of a free will donation drawing. ALL proceeds from this drawing will go towards supporting the zoo and its animals!

Regular Zoo admission rates apply. As always, Zoo members receive free admission!

Britt grew up in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and pursued her education in art from Concordia College and Minnesota State University Moorhead. She currently resides in Moorhead, Minnesota.

She has been passionate about both animals and art ever since she was young. Her art is inspired by the beautiful colors and interesting textures she sees in wildlife, and enjoys translating these onto the canvas in a way that creates a multi-dimensional work for viewers to appreciate both up-close and from a distance.

She has enjoyed using the Red River Zoo animals as inspiration for her works for many years, and looks forward to the chance to paint them in person. She can’t wait to share her excitement about both animals and art with you in this unique way!

This project is funded in part by a grant from The Arts Partnership.

To learn more about Britt Dalice, follow her on Facebook @brittdaliceart, Instagram @daliceart, and her website www.daliceart.com.
