The Fargo-Moorhead Quilters present the 2024 Metro Quilt Expo on October 18 and 19th at the Butler Arena at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds. Hours are 9 – 6 on Friday and 9-4 on Saturday. Free parking. Admission is $10 per person, 12 and under admitted free. View over 200 quilts never before exhibited at MQE along with special exhibits including the Member Spotlight: Kim Baird, a retrospective of 50 years of quilting and fiber art, Journey into the Moonlit Sea, a scientific approach to Quilt Design featuring the work of Peggy Spitzer, and more. For the first time there will an interactive carnival game, Down the Clown to help vent frustrations with pet peeves – from littering to empty bobbins. In addition to the fiber art, over a dozen vendors of fabric, books, quilt furniture, sewing machines and notions will be selling their wares. A Basket Raffle, Fiber Arts Auction and quilt scavenger hunt will also be among the offerings.
