Summer Camp: Art of Emotion: Expressing Feelings through Art Ages 8-13
This camp is inspired by Anne Labovitz’s recent installation Convergence, Hope, Love, Resilience, Rest, Community at the Plains Art Museum, which explores themes of emotion and mental well-being. Throughout the camp, students will learn to express their emotions through various art forms. They will experiment with different painting materials, including acrylics and watercolors, while practicing techniques to enhance their skills. By the end of the camp, each student will have created multiple pieces of art that not only reflect their emotions but also serve as a powerful outlet for their personal expression.
