The Fargo Public Library’s annual “Design a Bookmark Contest” kicks off Wednesday, September 1, and runs through September 30. The contest is open to all ages, including adults. Entry forms and rules for the contest are available at any Fargo Public Library location. Forms and guidelines will also be available at www.fargolibrary.org.
Entries will be accepted at all library locations and must be turned in on or before Sept. 30.
For the children’s portion of the contest, three winners will be selected in each age group: five years old and under, six to eight years old and nine to 12 years old. Children can submit up to three designs and all entries will be displayed in the Children’s Department at the downtown Main Library.
For both the teen contest and the adult contest, two winners will be selected. Teens and adults can submit up to two designs and all entries will be displayed at the Dr. James Carlson Library.
Library staff will vote to determine the winners of the contests and winners will be announced in October. Winning bookmark entries will be printed and distributed at library locations and library events. The kids category’s winning originals will be put on permanent display at the Main Library.
Fargo Public Library events are free and open to the public; adults must accompany children ages nine and younger. For more information regarding the library and a list of other upcoming events, visit www.fargolibrary.org.
