1/22/2021 – The Arts Partnership of Fargo-Moorhead is happy to announce that we have selected seven new artists to receive funding for studios at Aptitude create studios inside West Acres Mall.
In addition, we’ve distributed $6,000 in emergency relief funding to artists as part of initiatives put forward by the Board of Directors.
These new avenues of support aim to help make up some of the impact on the arts sector due to the coronavirus pandemic thanks to funding from to a consortium of Midwest arts organizations from Springboard for the Arts.
Additional artists to take up studio space at Aptitude include poet Emily Vieweg, photographer Tim Lamey, sculptor/metal fabricator Maranda Pedersen, ceramicist Morgan Jaeger, Amazballz by Angie Mueller, Smerald Colombia by Omar Leyes Diaz and Ryan Tetzloff aka ColdSweat.

“It’s still up in the air what’s gonna end up coming out of my studio, it”s really an exploratory time,” says metalworker Maranda Pedersen. She was featured in an Fargo Forum/Arts Partnership article written by Chelsey Engelhard-Ewen in 2017.
Aptitude is open this January from 12-6pm on Saturdays, and select Fridays from 4pm-8pm (January 8th, 22nd, and 29th).
Studios are also open by appointment in addition to the open hours. Studio hours may vary from one artist to another.
