NDSU Fine Arts’ madrigal dinners offer a full evening of Renaissance entertainment to get the season off to a wassailingly good start. Do some shopping downtown and help out the Great Plains Food Bank through the 4th Annual Shine Into the Holidays Cheer-ity Night. Participating stores, including a number of TAP Partners, will be open late, and each will have an item for a silent auction giveaway, with the proceeds benefiting the food bank. Genealogy researcher Les Bakke will give a free talk on German immigration to the region in regard to the exhibition Deutsch Kunst/German Art at the Rourke. 7 p.m. [Rourke Art Museum]
The MSUM Holiday Concert will feature the Minnesota premier of the work Te Deum by composer Steve Dobrogosz as performed by the university orchestra and choirs. 7:30 p.m. at Hansen Theatre. [MSUM]
