The Arts Partnership has been working with the City of Fargo, artists from NDSU and MSUM, The Fargo Public Schools and The Fargo Park District to create a public art project called W4: Walking, Waiting, Wondering Words. Designed by Ludvik Herrera and Jeff Knight, the website is up and running–thanks, you two!

You can go to the site and submit your words, poems, musings, philosophies, ponderings, anecdotes…well, you get the idea, right online. They will appear on the site and may be chosen to be printed into one or more sidewalk squares around town as they are replaced yet this summer and fall. Click on “Words” to go right to the upload section of the site, but I hope you will wonder around the site for awhile, too, because there’s a lot to take in.

Please go to the site and submit your work. There is such synergy in communities coming together around words. Imagine walking in a park and coming across a smattering of your neighbors’ literary art–wouldn’t that be fun!

I can say that reading the elementary submissions make me so happy–their love of nature, the parks and friendship makes me smile every time I re-read them. They are on the site–go and check them out and add your own submissions. We’d love to know what you appreciate about the places you walk, wait and wonder in our community.
