FARGO, N.D. (Wednesday, August 23, 2023) –The 15th annual Fargo Moorhead LGBT Film Festival will open in Fargo at the Fargo Theatre on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. The festival, which features the work of 27 filmmakers over 7 programs and a special BIPOC drag performance by Trancendence Cabaret, will be run through September 16. A virtual encore for certain films will run from 9/17-9/30 on the festival’s online streaming platform.
The Fargo-Moorhead LGBT Film Festival will host a live drag performance at 9:15 PM on Friday Sept 15 by Minnasota’s Trancendence Cabaret at the Fargo Theatre. The show is 18+ and features performances by Moe Russell, Oliver Yew, Megan the Maneater, and Eun Bee Yes. More information can be found about the troupe on their website.

We will have several directors in conversation during the festival including Sharon Roggio, director of 1946: THE MISTRANSLATION THAT SHIFTED A CULTURE and HEADDRESS director TAIETSARÓN:SERE ‘TAI’ LECLAIRE among others.
The Fargo-Moorhead LGBT Film Festival grew out of a Queer Film Series artist Raymond Rea curated for Minnesota State University Moorhead upon his arrival from San Francisco in 2008. Since 2009, the festival has screened films from national and international sources, all focusing on the lived experience of the Queer community. The festival is committeedto bringing current and relevant queert film to the northern communities of Fargo, North Dkaota, and Moorhead, Minnesota.
The Fargo-Moorhead LGBT Film Festival is supported in part by institutional support from the North Dakota Council on the Arts, which recieved funding from the state legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts; The Arts Partnership, with support from the Cities of Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo; and the FM Area Foundation.
