‘Tis the season for NDSU’s performance of Handel’s Messiah!
Conducted by Dr. Jo Ann Miller, Baroque Festival Music Director, over 200 students in five choirs and the Baroque Festival Orchestra will present Handel’s monumental piece, which has become a holiday tradition throughout the world. Premiered in Dublin, Ireland in 1742, Messiah combines Old and New Testament texts in one of the most memorable works of Western music.
Performances are at 7:30 PM Nov. 30, Dec. 1 and Dec. 2 at First Lutheran Church in Fargo. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, $10 for non-NDSU students, and free for NDSU students.
